The answers to the most frequently asked questions about voting and digital assemblies.

What is the difference between Camelot vote and Camelot assembly?

Camelot Vote allows for Online Voting, meaning it enables the programming and execution of online votes and/or elections by establishing in advance the questions and the time frame within which eligible voters can express their opinions. Camelot Assembly allows for conducting a meeting with integrated Live Voting, managing the opening and closing of votes and/or elections, delegations, and participants' interventions during the digital assembly, whether in person or hybrid. Live voting allows for the dynamic and real-time management of topics and questions based on the needs that arise from the assembly. They are two distinct solutions, but both designed to ensure transparency, traceability, and digital, hybrid, or in-person participation.

Camelot is responsible for creating and conducting the voting?

The Camelot platform can be used independently (SaaS model) or by taking advantage of the full support service (Full Service). In SaaS mode, the organization accesses a comprehensive dashboard of tools and features that allow for the easy and independent creation and management of secure, accessible, and legally recognized digital voting. In Full Service mode, on the other hand, the Camelot team manages every aspect: voting configuration, data loading, testing, assistance, and process closure.

Is the platform compliant with regulations on personal data processing and/or electronic voting?

Yes. The Camelot platform complies with European and Italian regulations regarding personal data protection, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Furthermore, the digital voting service adheres to the regulatory and technical provisions set forth by the guidelines of the Italian Ministry of the Interior (decree of July 9, 2021) and follows the principles defined by the Council of Europe's recommendation CM/Rec(2017)5 on electronic voting.

How do people access to vote or participate?

Users can access through a personal link they receive via email or SMS (depending on the methods chosen by the organization). The system also allows for the activation of a two-step verification process, meaning sending the access link via email and an OTP code via SMS. The platform allows the organization to also activate advanced authentication methods such as eID, depending on the required level of security and statutory or regulatory rules. Camelot allows for the free configuration of access criteria most suitable for each electoral event.

What data is necessary to organize a vote or a meeting?

To enable each participant to vote, only essential data is required, such as first name, last name, and information related to the channel for sending the unique link to access the vote (e.g., email address, phone number, or both if necessary). Depending on the type of event or the chosen identification criteria, additional data may be requested, such as tax code, membership number, or an internal identifier, as well as the weight of the vote. All collected information is processed in accordance with the principle of data minimization and according to the highest standards of security and privacy protection.

How can I know if my statute allows the use of digital voting?

It is important to verify that the statute or regulations of the organization allow for the use of digital or telematic tools for conducting votes or assemblies. In case of unclear indications, it is advisable to consult your legal advisor or, if you belong to a local section, to contact the relevant central organization. Camelot can provide informational support to understand what operational conditions are necessary to activate the service.

Users can participate in the vote using any device?

Yes. The Camelot platform is accessible from any device connected to the Internet – PC, smartphone, or tablet – without the need to download software or apps. Voting can be done easily and immediately from anywhere.

What happens at the end of a voting session or a digital assembly?

At the end of the event, the Camelot platform automatically generates the final report, including the results and the elements necessary for the formal closure of the chosen service. Everything is ready to be downloaded, archived, or shared by the organization.

How long does it take to activate a vote or an assembly?

With the personal data already ready, the setup of a digital voting or assembly with Camelot can be completed in a few minutes. For more complex events, the times are adjusted but still remain very quick, thanks to an intuitive and easy-to-use interface.

Do users need technical assistance?

The Camelot platform is designed to be used independently, but upon request, a help desk service can be activated via email, chat, or phone. This ensures direct support for anyone who needs it, before or during the event.

How much does the service cost?

The cost depends on the number of participants, the duration of the event, the level of configuration required, and the chosen mode: SaaS (Software as a Service), where the organization manages the event independently through the platform, or Full service, with complete support from the Camelot team. You can consult the Pricing section or request a customized quote.

Is it possible to test the platform before using it in a real vote or assembly?

Yes. Camelot offers the opportunity to access a test environment to familiarize yourself with the platform and check the overall functionality before the official event. You can try Camelot from here.
